Palaeastur atavus

Taxonomy
Palaeastur atavus was named by Wetmore (1943). Its type specimen is H. C. 693, a limb element (distal end of right metatarsus), and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Stenomylus Quarry, which is in a Harrisonian terrestrial horizon in the Harrison Formation of Nebraska.
