Cerithium delbosi was named by Michelotti (1861) [DISTRIBUTION: Oligocene; Italy, Greece, Oman.]. It is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Gourmya delbosi by Harzhauser (2004) and Harzhauser (2007).
