Cerithium delbosi was named by Michelotti (1861) [DISTRIBUTION: Oligocene; Italy, Greece, Oman.]. It is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Gourmya delbosi by Harzhauser (2004) and Harzhauser (2007).

Synonyms
  • Cerithium romeo was named by Bayan (1870) [DISTRIBUTION: Oligocene; Italy.]. It is not a trace fossil.

    It was recombined as Cerithium (Gourmya) romeo by Oppenheim (1900); it was synonymized subjectively with Gourmya delbosi by Harzhauser (2004).
