Taxonomy
Bellatara lozoueti was named by Harzhauser (2004) [DISTRIBUTIONL Late Oligocene; Greece.]. Its type specimen is NHMW 2001z0166/0011, a shell, and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is DO/98/reef - Doutsiko reef (Eptachorion Fm), which is in a Chattian reef, buildup or bioherm reef rocks in the Eptachorion Formation of Greece.
