Puffinus priscus
Taxonomy
Puffinus priscus was named by Miller (1961). Its type specimen is Univ. Calif. Mus. Paleo. No. 58185, a limb element (distal third of a left humerus), and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Sharktooth Hill (Mitchell Collection), which is in a Langhian estuary/bay sandstone in the Temblor Formation of California.
