Taxonomy
Haustator conofaciatus was named by Sacco (1895) [DISTRIBUTION: Oligocene; Italy, Greece, Oman, Pakistan.]. It is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Turritella conofasciata by Rovereto (1900) and Vredenburg (1928); it was recombined as Turritella (Haustator) conofasciata by Harzhauser (2004); it was recombined as Turritella (Haustator) conofaciata by Harzhauser (2007).
