Oolithes bathonicae

Taxonomy
Oolithes bathonicae was named by Buckman (1859). It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is BM(NH) 37987IHEC 186, an egg, and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Hare-Bushes Quarry, stage 4, which is in a Bathonian open shallow subtidal carbonate in the Bath Oolite Formation of the United Kingdom.

It was recombined as Testudofiexoolithus bathonicae by Hirsch (1996).
