Taxonomy
Rostellaria subrimosa was named by d'Orbigny (1852) [DISTRIBUTION: Oligocene-Miocene; Pakistan, Iran.]. It is extant.

It was recombined as Rimella subrimosa by Vredenburg (1925), Mukerjee (1939), Iqbal (1980) and Harzhauser (2004); it was recombined as Dientomochilus subrimosa by Eames (1950); it was recombined as Varicospira subrimosa by Harzhauser (2007) and Harzhauser et al. (2009).
