Colymboides metzleri

Taxonomy
Colymboides metzleri was named by Mayr (2004). Its type specimen is SMNS 80739/2a+b, a partial skeleton (dissociated partial skeleton including several presacral vertebrae, left wing, left foot, sternum, and pelvis), and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Frauenweiler, which is in a Rupelian estuary/bay claystone in Germany.
