N. F. Sohl 1960Large, thick, high turrited shells, with numerous flattened to excavated concave whorls; sutures in deep furrows overhung on mature whorls by flange like extensions of the upper whorl surfaces; base with coarse spiral cords; aperture with moderately thick callus on parietal lip.
