Taxonomy
Pecten bellicostatus was named by Wood (1861) [DISTRIBUTION: Eocene-Oligocene; Europe]. It is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Chlamys (Aequipecten) bellicostatus by Kluschnikov (1958); it was recombined as Chlamys bellicostata by Wozny (1977).
