Taxonomy
Tellina sulcata was named by Solander (1866) [DISTRIBUTION: Eocene-Oligocene; Europe, Pakistan.]. It is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Crassatella sulcata by Vredenburg (1928), Karagiuleva (1964) and Wozny (1977).
