Nucula (Acila) hokkaidoensis was named by Nagao (1932) [DISTRIBUTION: Cretaceous; Japan.]. It is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Acila (Truncacila) hokkaidoensis by Schenck (1936) and Tashiro and Kozai (1982).
