Cerithioderma ultima was named by Lozouet (1998) [DISTRIBUTION: Late Oligocene; France.]. It is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Saint-√Čtienne-d'Orthe, Aquitaine, which is in a Chattian marine siliciclastic in France.
