Taxonomy
Isoarca corrugata was named by Tate (1896). Its type specimen is SAM T 1272a, a shell, and it is not a trace fossil. It is the type species of Lophoconcha.

It was recombined as Lophoconcha corrugata by Pojeta and Gilbert-Tomlinson (1977).
