Trochus bucklandi was named by Basterot (1825) [DISTRIBUTION: Early Miocene; Europe/]. It is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Calliostoma (Strigosella) bucklandi by Cossmann and Peyrot (1917); it was recombined as Jujubinus bucklandi by Lozouet et al. (2001).
