Symmetrolestes parvus

Taxonomy
Symmetrolestes parvus was named by Tsubamoto and Rougier (2004) [Symmetrolestes parvus Tsubamoto and Rougier (in Tsubamoto et al., 2004)]. Its type specimen is NSM PV 20562, a mandible, and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Kitadani (north of Dinosaur Quarry), which is in a Barremian/Aptian fluvial horizon in the Kitadani Formation of Japan. It is the type species of Symmetrolestes.
