Marginella (Gibberula) trinitatensis was named by Mansfield (1925) [DISTRIBUTION: Miocence; Trinidad and Tobago.]. Its type specimen is USNM 352657, a shell, and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is USGS 9212, which is in a Miocene marine siliciclastic in Trinidad and Tobago.
