Strombina walli was named by Mansfield (1925) [DISTRIBUTION: Miocene; Trinidad and Tobago.]. Its type specimen is USNM 352671, a shell, and it is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Sincola (Sincola) walli by Jung (1989).
