Mitra (Tiara) rhadina was named by Woodring (1928) [DISTRIBUTION: Early Pliocene; Jamaica.]. Its type specimen is USNM 369434, a shell, and it is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Subcancilla rhadina by Hendy et al. (2008).
