Taxonomy
Turbo dominicensis was named by Gabb (1873) [DISTRIBUTION: Miocene-Pliocene; Carribean.]. Its type specimen is ANSP 2843, a shell, and it is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Turbo (Taeniaturbo) dominicensis by Woodring (1928) and Hendy et al. (2008).
