Fusus henekeni was named by Sowerby (1850) [DISTRIBUTION: Late Miocene; Caribbean.]. It is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Fusinus henikeri by Rutsch (1934); it was recombined as Fusinus henekeni by Woodring (1928), Anderson (1929), Snyder (2003) and Landau and Marques da Silva (2010).
