Chama antiquata was named by Guppy (1866) [DISTRIBUTION: Early Pliocene; Caribbean.]. It is a 3D body fossil.
It was recombined as Echinochama antiquata by Dall (1903), Olsson (1922), Woodring (1925), Weisbord (1929), Anderson (1929) and Barrios (1960); it was recombined as Arcinella antiquata by Woodring (1982).
