Taxonomy
Conus cercadensis was named by Maury (1917) [DISTRIBUTION: Miocene-Pliocene; Dominican Republic.]. It is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Perplexiconus cercadensis by Tucker and Tenorio (2009); it was recombined as Conasprella (Ximeniconus) cercadensis by Hendricks (2015).
