It was assigned to Cochlespirinae by Olsson (1964); to Turriculidae by Hickman (1976); to Turriculinae by Moore (1976); to Turridae by Durham (1944), Moore (1984) and Todd (2001); to Neogastropoda by Sepkoski (2002); and to Cochlespiridae by Bouchet et al. (2011).
