Glyphostoma golfoyaquensis was named by Maury (1917) [DISTRIBUTION: Miocene-Pliocene; Dominican Republic.]. It is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Glyphostoma (Glyphostoma) golfoyaquensis by Todd (2001).
