Taxonomy
Cryoturris engonia was named by Woodring (1928) [DISTRIBUTION: Early Pliocene; Jamaica.]. Its type specimen is USNM 1354067, a shell, and it is not a trace fossil. It is the type species of Cryoturris.

It was recombined as Kurtziella (Cryoturris) engonia by Woodring (1970).
