Taxonomy
Cancellaria (Euclia) maldonadoi was named by Olsson (1964) [DISTRIBUTION: Miocene; Ecuador.]. Its type specimen is USNM 643871, a shell, and it is not a trace fossil.

It was synonymized subjectively with Cancellaria (Euclia) codazzii by Woodring (1970); it was recombined as Euclia maldonadoi by Landau et al. (2012).
