Cancellaria werenfelsi was named by Jung (1965) [DISTRIBUTION: Middle Miocene; Venezuela.]. It is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Cancellaria (Euclia) werenfelsi by Woodring (1970) and Landau et al. (2007); it was recombined as Euclia werenfelsi by Landau et al. (2012).
