Cancellaria balboae was named by Pilsbry (1931) [DISTRIBUTION: Pleistocene-Recent; Florida.]. It is extant.

It was recombined as Cancellaria (Euclia) balboae by Woodring (1970) and Landau et al. (2007); it was recombined as Euclia balboae by Landau et al. (2012).
