Oliva biplicata was named by Sowerby (1825) [DISTRIBUTION: Recent; Eastern Pacific.]. It is extant.

It was recombined as Olivella biplicata by Ashley (1895) and Woodring and Bramlette (1950); it was recombined as Olivella (Callianax) biplicata by Olsson (1956); it was recombined as Callianax biplicata by Hendy (2021).
