Tiara henekeni was named by Sowerby (1850) [DISTRIBUTION: Late Neogene; Caribbean.]. It is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Mitra (Tiara) henekeni by Woodring (1928); it was recombined as Subcancilla henekeni by Hendy et al. (2008).
