Taxonomy
Cryoturris dianema was named by Woodring (1928) [DISTRIBUTION: Early Pliocene; Jamaica.]. Its type specimen is USNM 135407, a shell, and it is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Kurtziella (Cryoturris) dianema by Hendy et al. (2008).
