Turricula (Surcula) panthea was named by Dall (1919) [DISTRIBUTION: Recent; Eastern Pacific.]. It is extant.

It was recombined as Pleurofusia (Cruziturricula) panthea by Woodring (1970); it was recombined as Cruziturricula panthea by Marks (1951) and Hendy et al. (2008).
