Turricula (Pleurofusia) cruziana was named by Olsson (1932) [DISTRIBUTION: Miocene; Peru.]. It is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Pleurofusia (Cruziturricula) cruziana by Woodring (1970); it was recombined as Cruziturricula cruziana by Marks (1951) and Hendy et al. (2008).
