Pleurotoma cedonulli was named by Reeve (1843) [DISTRIBUTION: Middle Miocene-Recent; Caribbean.]. It is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Ancistrosyrinx cedonulli by Olsson (1942); it was recombined as Cochlespira (Ancistrosyrinx) cedonulli by Woodring (1970) and Hendy et al. (2008).
