Taxonomy
Verticordia (Haliris) jamaicensis was named by Dall (1903) [DISTRIBUTION: Pliocene; Caribbean.]. Its type specimen is USNM 135686, a shell, and it is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Haliris jamaicensis by Jung (1996).
