Taxonomy
Trigonulina ornata was named by d'Orbigny (1842) [DISTRIBUTION: Recent; Wester Atlantic.]. It is extant. Its type specimen is BMNH 493, a shell.

It was recombined as Verticordia (Trigonulina) ornata by Dall (1886); it was recombined as Verticordia ornata by Clark (1931).
