Taxonomy
Nucula glacialis was named by Wood (1828) [DISTRIBUTION: Arctic (Recent); Newfoundland-Vermont (Pleistocene)]. It is extant.

It was recombined as Yoldia (Portlandia) glacialis by Richards (1962); it was recombined as Portlandia glacialis by Hendy et al. (2008).
