Taxonomy
Drillia eurystoma was named by Gardner (1937) [DISTRIBUTION: Early-Middle Miocene; Florida, Caribbean.]. Its type specimen is USNM 351188, a shell, and it is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Drillia (Neodrillia) riogurabonis eurystoma by Woodring (1970).
