Taxonomy
Drillia zooki was named by Brown and Pilsbry (1911) [DISTRIBUTION: Miocene-Pliocene; Caribbean.]. Its type specimen is ANSP 1695, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Drillia (Crassispira) zooki by Cossmann (1913); it was recombined as Carinodrillia (Carinodrillia) zooki by Woodring (1970); it was recombined as Carinodrillia zooki by Hendy et al. (2008).
