Carinodrillia felis was named by Olsson (1964) [DISTRIBUTION: Middle Miocene-Early Pliocene; Ecuador.]. It is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Carinodrillia (Carinodrillia) felis by Woodring (1970).
