Drillia winchesterae was named by Pilsbry (1922) [DISTRIBUTION: Miocene-Pliocene; Dominican Republic.]. It is not a trace fossil.
It was synonymized subjectively with Carinodrillia elocata by Woodring (1928); it was recombined as Carinodrillia (Carinodrillia) winchesterae by Woodring (1970); it was recombined as Carinodrillia winchesterae by Hendy et al. (2008).
