Taxonomy

Scapharca (Cunearca) willardausteni was named by Maury (1917) [TYPE LOCALITY: Caimito, Dominican Republic (Miocene-Pliocene). TYPE REPOSITORY: Presumably PRI, New York.].

It was recombined as Arca (Tosarca) willardausteni by Hendy et al. (2008).
