Gutturnium gracile gurabonicum was named by Maury (1917) [DISTRIBUTION: Miocene-Pliocene; Dominican Republic.]. Its type specimen is Holotype (no number), a shell, and it is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Monoplex gurabonicus by Beu (2010).
