Taxonomy
Leda (Jupiteria) bowdenensis subtumida was named by Woodring (1925) [DISTRIBUTION: Early Pliocene; Jamaica.]. Its type specimen is USNM 352732, a shell, and it is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Jupiteria subtumida by Woodring (1973).
