Turbo parvus was named by da Costa (1778) [DISTRIBUTION: Pleistocene-Recent; Northern Atlantic.]. It is extant.

It was recombined as Rissoa parva by Wood (1879), Simonarson et al. (1998) and Hendy et al. (2008).
