Taxonomy
Drillia abundans perrugata was named by Dall (1890) [DISTRIBUTION: Early Pliocene; Western Atlantic.]. Its type specimen is USNM 97317, a shell, and it is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Crassispira perrugata by Gardner (1948).
