Taxonomy
Amblycoptus topali was named by Jánossy (1972). Its type specimen is HNHM V. 71,149, a mandible (dext with two antemolars and m1). It is the type species of Kordosia.

It was recombined as Kordosia topali by Mészáros (1997).
