Taxonomy
Foraminella sowerbii was named by Sowerby (1835). It is extant.

It was recombined as Lucapina sowerbii by Massemin et al. (2009).

Synonyms
  • Fissurella cancellata was named by Sowerby (1835) [DISTRIBUTION: Pleistocene-Recent; Caribbean.]. It is not a trace fossil.

    It was recombined as Fissuridea cancellata by Woodring et al. (1924); it was synonymized subjectively with Lucapina sowerbii by Hendy et al. (2008).
